Why Should I Hire You?

In today’s tough economy competition for jobs is at an all time high. The national unemployment rate has increased to double digits, companies are becoming more selective in who they hire, and the interview process is taking longer and longer.

We have all heard the talk about searching for a new job…how to go about it, how much time per day to spend looking, resume tips, and working your personal network. But what happens when you land the interview? How are you differentiating yourself from your competition and why should a potential employer higher you?

It isn’t good enough anymore to show up in your blue business suit, to use a firm handshake, and to follow up with a thank you after the interview. We can all agree that the interview is a fragile process, a crapshoot that can go either way. With that being said, here are five things you can do to win any interview and give you an edge against your competition.
