Smart Job Seekers Seek to Always Learn!

Smart people typically become smarter people.

Good advice to follow is to attend more conferences, read daily newsletters and be around brilliant people. Many people’s primary reason for changing jobs is that they want to learn something new and to step up their intellectual property.

How can you get a good start online? Depending on what field you would like to be “in the know”, you can have a look at blog search and aggregation sites like Google Blog Search or Technorati and browse their categories. Once you find a blog you like, you can subscribe to their RSS or Real Simple Syndication feed using a feed reader. This allows you to read all of their blog posts without having to visit their site to see if they have updates.

If you have signed up with other Google products like Gmail or Google Docs, then you might want to try Google Reader for example. Or if you are a Yahoo user, you can read feeds on your MyYahoo page. If neither rock your boat, you can always search for other feed readers – there are many good ones out there.
